SCOTT WULLKOTTE

IN OUR OWN BACK YARD

PYRAMIX RECORDS

If you enjoy raw, gutsy vocalising in simple outlaw style, watch for this modern, western (un-cowboy) breed of album. It is not of the slick conveyer-belt, custom-mould so deserves to be sought out by the true-roots devotees. 'In Our Own Back Yard' is an unpretentious, laid-back, self-penned collection of well-told country story-ditties that converge with grassroots folk-art a la modern, western Americana. Scott is a basic but notable singer-songwriting talent who is a Glendale, Arizona lad. He records locally, sharing with James Maras at the production helm. Predictably, on this occasion he has chosen able and simple country-rock backing for his earthy repertoire that flows freely in earnest tendency. Such material is newly-penned in a lazy, almost front-porch style and should gain healthy airplay.

Desert Gold Cd is a showcase of 9 Super Songs. 5 are originals and I am amazed with the writting style and story lines I hear. "Desert Gold" is a piece of wonderfull music history about the lost Dutchman who went into the Superstition Mountains looking for gold , that he and the gold are still their. "The Anniversary Song" is a tribute made for the occasion. Shows a fantastic writting style. 'What do you want from me", Life goes on and on", and "Down by the shore" round out the originals. Each one has professional production. Vocals are equally as professional. Scott does a GREAT job on all.

Enjoyable and engaging, Scott Wullkotte shows high possibilities and potential. Sometimes gentle-on-the-ear, but mostly his bouncy rockabilly has a distinctive style. His repertoire-range of subjects has a down-to-earth touch which I enjoyed. Most of the album is of orientated sounds focusing on the dizzy heights of the entertainment world. He’s got what it takes to make it, and his sound is fully alive... happy, sad… according to the repertoire change. Clearly an enthusiast, Scott has high hopes for his one-man show on as he continues to sing and perform.
Hi Scott,
Thanks for contacting MMG. I have viewed your website and listened to some of your songs. You have a lot of talent, and I certainly wish you well with your music. Most all MMG artists write their own songs, or have associate writers doing it for them. At this time, we wouldn't be able to help you with placing your songs, but it doesn't mean we wouldn't be able to in the future. We will put your information on file, and should a time come when we need additional songs we'll make a point to contact you.
Thanks, again, for the contact. 'Wishing you all the best.

Kind regards,
